Monterey Apartments Emergency Work

Cercol Construction Services won a tender to carry out major repairs to the underground car park at Monterey Apartments in Reid, Canberra.

The 30-year-old structure had deteriorated due to poor original construction, lack of maintenance, and tree root damage, causing the exhaust plenum to collapse and rendering the building unsafe.

Excavating the Coranderrk Street side, removing the failed wall, installing structural supports, rebuilding the slab, drainage, concrete wall, waterproofing, and restoring landscaping.

Address subsidence on the north side by demolishing a damaged retaining wall, installing bore piers to support and realign the footing, and rebuilding the wall with matching bricks.
